We want to reduce the pollution of any local water sources that can also affect natural habitats and wildlife.
How can we prevent storm drain pollution?
Answer
1. Never dump liquids down storm drains
2. Reduce the amount of lawn chemicals used and make sure to sweep up excess
3. Cover vehicle fluids with sand or another safe substance
4. Pick up and dispose of pet waste
5. Keep grass clippings, leaves, litter, and debris out of storm drains
6. Watch out for and report any odd discharge around a storm drain
