There are so many ways to get involved in your community and surrounding communities to ensure the cleanliness of our freshwater. Consider adopting a storm drain, attending the annual waterways clean-up, reporting illicit discharge, or looking out for us at local farmer's markets.
Every year, Protect Wisconsin Waterways hosts a waterways clean-up in all partnering municipalities. With over 200 volunteers last year, we were able to collect 80+ trash bags. Join Protect Wisconsin Waterways in September in ensuring the waterways stay clean!
Registering as a Storm Drain Protector means you agree to help prevent pollution from reaching storm drains near your home or business by keeping the area around the storm drain closest to your property free of debris and common pollutants.
Funding will be awarded to non-profit organizations, community, civic, school groups, and others for projects or activities that educate the public about stormwater pollution prevention or contribute to efforts to reduce stormwater runoff pollution in one of the municipalities.
