Twin-Door-Kewaunee/Manitowoc (Lakeshore) Basin

Lakeshore Basin
The Lakeshore basin is located in east central Wisconsin. It completely encompasses Door, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc counties and parts of Brown and Calumet. It is largely dominated by the Niagara limestone formation. Some of the watersheds this basin includes are Kewaunee River, Sturgeon Bay, and Manitowoc River. Because of its close proximity to large urban centers and limitless recreational activities, there is pressure on natural resources.
